- This class will address the importance of completing correct and comprehensive bid documents. Also will include guidance for completing insurance requirements, Worker's Compensation, tax and vendor responsibility forms, bid solicitation updates as well as information on procurement lobbying.
- Following a brief overview of NYS purchasing guidelines, panel representatives will speak: SUNY & NYC representatives will discuss opportunities to make local connections to maximize regional sales; Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) and Small Business Administration (SBA) will describe business support opportunities available from their regional offices.
- This class will discuss key contract components as well as best practices for complying with the terms and conditions of contracts; including timely and comprehensive sales reports, price list updates, reseller updates and more. Additionally, information on who is authorized to use OGS contracts will be presented along with information regarding restrictions on purchases.
- Take advantage of available resources and assistance from Empire State Development and the OSC Vendor Unit. Understand program guidelines for Buy NY, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, MWBE, & Recycled/Remanufactured programs.
